The rules of professional conduct applicable to law firm GRAU lawyers are found in the following Regulations:

Professional Liability Insurance

GRAU Rechtsanwälte PartGmbB has concluded a professional liability insurance policy with HDI-Gerling Firmen und Privat Versicherung AG, 30021 Hannover, in respect of its Lawyers. The geographical scope of insurance protection covers activities within the member states of the European Union and accords with the minimum requirements of § 51 Federal Lawyers Act).


Out-of-Court Dispute Settlement

Disputes between lawyers and their clients can be settled out of court on request by the regional Chamber of Lawyers (Rechtsanwaltskammer) (pursuant to section 73(2) no. 3 in connection with section 73(5) of the Federal Regulations for Lawyers (BRAO) or by the Federal Conciliation Body (Schlichtungsstelle der Rechtsanwaltschaft) of the Federal Chamber of Lawyers (section 191f BRAO), which can be found on the Internet on the homepage of the Federal Chamber of Lawyers (Bundesrechtsanwaltskammer) (www.brak.de or by e mail: schlichtungsstelle@brak.de).


Avoiding Conflicts of Interest

Lawyers are prohibited by professional regulations from representing conflicting interests (section 43a (4) of the Federal Regulations for Lawyers (BRAO). Therefore, before an engagement is accepted, a conflict of interests check will be carried out.
